New qualifications on the market are making it easier to gain nationally recognised accreditation after attending shorter courses and successfully completing an in centre assessment.

There are new water industry qualifications available now that enable people to have their skills formally recognised.

Short training courses followed by assessment for a variety of water industry subjects are offered by the awarding body CABWI and are available at both level 2 and 3. These provide a nationally recognised alterative to schemes owned by specific training providers and in-house programmes. These qualifications have been created by industry experts and provide and ideal way of having training assessed and certificated.

WaterSkills are able to offer accredited short training courses in a range of subjects such as:

  • Main laying (a variety of specific units available)
  • Service laying (a variety of specific units available)
  • Mains disinfection
  • Water Regulations
  • Leakage detection and control
  • Water Treatment (a variety of specific units available)
  • Waste Water Treatment (a variety of specific units available)
  • Sewerage Networks (a variety of specific units available)
