Pressure Reducing Valves (Refresher)
This training course aims to provide the skills and knowledge required for Network Technicians to install, commission, adjust and maintain Pressure Reducing Valves. It covers how to strip and rebuild in a safe manner, re-adjusting and diagnosis of faults in operation.
Objectives
By the end of this course you will be able to:
- Install PRVs
- Commission PRVs
- Diagnose common faults including hunting and cavitation
- Carry out on site repair and routine maintenance of PRVs
- Adjust existing PRVs
Method
A classroom based training course with practical demonstrations and exercises where practicable
Pre Course Requirements
Learners will need to have previously attended a full PRV installation and maintenance training course and attend equipped with appropriate PPE including Head, Foot, and eye protection plus gloves and overalls
