Pressure Reducing Valves
This training course aims to provide the skills and knowledge required for Network Technicians to install, commission, adjust and maintain Pressure Reducing Valves. It covers how to strip and rebuild in a safe manner, re-adjusting and diagnosis of faults in operation.
Objectives
By the end of this course you will be able to:
- Install PRVs
- Commission PRVs
- Diagnose common faults including hunting and cavitation
- Carry out on site repair and routine maintenance of PRVs
- Adjust existing PRVs
- Carry out all tasks safely and hygienically
Method
A theory and practical course with a mixture of presentation, desktop and practical activities. This course has an assessment element and is awarded and certificated by CABWI.
