This training course is designed to introduce learners to the water distribution function. It would ideally suit new entrants to the industry or those in supporting roles needing a basic understanding.

  • Describe the features and components of a water distribution network
  • Explain the function of features and components
  • Recognise the different pipe materials used for mains and services
  • Describe the key levels of service measures water undertakers are required to meet
  • Describe boundaries of ownership and responsibility with regard to service pipes
  • Describe typical repair and maintenance requirements of networks and how they are carried out
