Basic Hydraulics
This course provides an introduction into hydraulics for water technicians and engineers.
Objectives
By the end of this course delegates will be able to:
- State the units of measurements commonly used in hydraulics
- Transpose formulae used for calculating flow, pressure, energy, force, surge and continuity within a water system
- Describe methods and devices used to make hydraulic measurements in water systems
- Describe the operation of different types of pump used in the water industry

A mixture of trainer led tutorial mixed with practical exercises and activities.
