This training course is aimed at staff working on Scottish Water’s Distribution Network, or assets that will be connected to the network. Following a review by Scottish Water, all 12 modules are included in the training for all roles. A further module (13 – Sampling Practitioner) is available for those who will take samples on Scottish Water’s network.

  • Understand DOMS Hygiene Sampling Procedures (Module 2)
  • Relate DOMS Hygiene Tools & Equipment Requirements (Module 3)
  • Carry out DOMS Disinfection Procedures (Module 4)
  • Follow DOMS Repair and Maintenance Procedures (Module 5)
  • Relate DOMS Boundary Valve Management Procedures (Module 6)
  • Understand DOMS Treated Water Storage Points Maintenance Procedures (Module 7)
  • Follow DOMS Repair of Mains & Services practices (Module 8)
  • Relate DOMS Secondary Disinfection of Treated Water Storage Points (Module 9)
  • Understand DOMS procedures for Pumping Station Failures (Mechanical/Electrical) (Module 10)
  • Understand DOMS General Maintenance Activities Requirements (Module 11)
  • Relate DOMS Network Operability Procedures requirements (Module 12)
Method

The course will consist of a mixture of classroom based tuition, exercises and knowledge questionnaires
