This course will provide learners with an understanding of the basic principles of electricity and its uses. The course emphasises the hazards of electricity and the procedures to be adopted in carrying out safe isolation of electrical circuits. In addition, it will provide learners with an understanding of the statutory requirements when constructing, maintaining and operating electrical systems. This course covers both practical and theory elements. It is designed as an introduction to electricity before embarking on the official qualifications such as Part P and 17th Edition Wiring Regulations.
