An Introduction to the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER)

Objectives

By the end of this course the participants will be able to:

• Outline the key aspects of the regulations as they apply to your workplace

• Apply the regulations to typical workplace situations

• Carryout a risk assessment on work equipment and determine risk control measures

• Explain the potential implications of non-compliance

Method

A classroom based training course using a mixture of trainer presentation and desk top exercises. Practical risk assessment exercises may be used where facilities allow
