Merit Skills is embarking on a national campaign to recruit for the next generation of water trainers. Throughout the year we will be using different initiatives to attract the best individuals.
Over the holiday period, one of our trainers was featured in a national Newspaper. This article was written about the ever expanding opportunities as a Trainer/Assessor in the Water Industry.
The article focused on the Water Industry's current ageing workforce, and the opportunities that those with experience within the industry have available to them. With Apprenticeships becoming a popular and effective way of starting a career within the Water Industry, the need for Technical Trainers and Assessors has risen, however the number of qualified Technical Trainers has not risen to meet the demand.
Merit Skills aims to change this by offering those with experience in the Water Industry a chance to become the key to building its future, this is something that our newest trainer Ben Ely is passionate about.
