The Network Construction Operations (Water) (NCO(W)) scheme is intended for all persons who undertake work on the water network. It provides employers and asset owners with a means of ensuring that all people undertaking work for them on the water network have an appropriate level of relevant skills, knowledge and understanding.

Objectives

By the end of this course the participants will be able to:

  • Demonstrate competence in supervising construction of water network assets
  • Demonstrate the knowledge required to competently carry out the tasks expected of a water network construction supervisor
  • Demonstrate competence in covering a range of activities for their job role
Method

Following a classroom based induction the candidate will be assessed in the workplace during normal water network construction activities and assisted in producing a portfolio of workplace evidence

Pre Course Requirements

Learners should be carrying out all aspects of supervision for water network construction operations
